Exploring Hope

Yesterday as we soaked in the warm afternoon light pouring through the window, a group of caregivers explored the notion of hope. We reflected on the people in our lives whose personal qualities inspire us, and on specific moments we have felt vibrantly alive.
It was meaningful and refreshing to hear these expressions of appreciation and wonder, as I marveled at the laughter, thoughtfulness and poignancy with which stories were shared.
As each person wrote their word on a rock they had chosen, they conveyed a glimpse of something that had captured their awareness… an encouragement or reminder they wanted to bring with them into the everyday.

How are you experiencing hope on your pathway?

Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work: You don’t give up. -Anne Lamott
