Summer Events Calendar!! July Edition

This summer there are no excuses to not go out and enjoy the weather! With our Out and About calendar there’s almost something to do every day this summer. Whether it’s enjoying one of the many concert series scattered across the North Shore or letting out your inner child at a craft fair; so get out and enjoy the sun! – Bryce Letham

Paddlesport Race
July 8, 15, 22, 29th 6-8pm
Deep Cove Canoe and Kayak Centre – 2156 Banbury Rd., North Vancouver
The races are open to paddlers and skiers of all abilities, and the races are 30 to 60 minutes in length depending on your ability. There is a short course and long course. Don’t let the word race scare you away. There is a wide range of skill levels participating, and they are all about FUN! Race entry fee: $5

Shipyards Night Market
July 4,11, 18, 25, 31st 5-10pm
Shipbuilders’ Square – 138 Victory Ship Way, North Vancouver
Stop by Shipbuilders’ Square for the Shipyards Night Market on Friday nights for great food, art, music, entertainment, and shopping. The festivities in the square kick off at 5pm on Friday nights. On the Shipbuilders’ Stage there is live music until 10pm, showcasing talent from all over BC. The Friday Night Market also includes a Beer and Wine Garden.

Concerts in Edgemont
July 4,11, 18, 25, 31st 7-9pm
Edgemont Village – 3100 Edgemont Boulevard, North Vancouver
Enjoy live music, dancing, iced beverages, ice cream, frozen yogurt and delicious food from local eateries. Bands are selected to bring vibrant, diverse and fun music to each evening. You will find something to suit every music taste!

Concerts in the Cove
July 11, 18, 25th 7-9pm
Panorama Park – North Vancouver, BC
Concerts in the Cove is a free, outdoor concert series held in Deep Cove’s scenic Panorama Park. The concerts take place on Friday evenings. These concerts are family-friendly, so bring your lawn chairs and get ready to enjoy the music with family and friends.

Civic Plaza Craft Fair
July 12 & 26th 11am-4pm
Civic Plaza (14th & Lonsdale) – 120 14th St W, North Vancouver, BC
Looking for a place to get unique, handmade products? If so, be sure to visit one of the Summer Craft fairs at Civic plaza in North Vancouver. Craft fairs are an excellent way to meet the people who make each item. you learn about the process and the materials they use. Items for sale include hand-crafted jewellery and metal work, purses, original artwork, home décor and more.

 Youth Learn to Fish
July 6, 13, 20, 27th 10am-12pm
Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve – Rice Lake, North Vancouver
These fun, hands-on lessons are perfect for youth and their families. Learn about fish identification, conservation, handling, tackle, rod rigging, and enjoy an hour of fishing. All equipment provided. This program takes place at Rice Lake located in the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve in North Vancouver. Suited to children ages 5 to 15. Suggested donation $5/youth. No registration required.

Cates Park Concert
July 12, 19, 26tth 4-7pm
Cates Park/ Whey-ah-Wichen – 4100 Dollarton Hwy, North Vancouver
The Cates park Concerts are free outdoor concerts, held each summer in picturesque Cates Park, North Vancouver. this concert series showcases local bands, featuring talented young artists performing on outdoor stage from 4-7pm on Saturdays.
